Join me and a small group of nature lovers in a morning of sketching in our very own Himeji Gardens, and take a short walk to Hutt Street for a light lunch and more sketching in our Art Journals.
Ideal for people ‘terrified’ of drawing and for those who love it
While in the Garden I will guide you in a variety of ways to approach sketching on location with pencil, pen and watercolour. I’ll show you ways to make the most of any scribble or doodle and then we will all stroll around the garden drawing and meditating.
These short Sketching Tours are designed for you make time for yourself doing an activity that you enjoy but would probably not do on your own.
About Himeji Gardens
There are a number of beautiful gardens to enjoy in the city, some are historic like the Osmond Gardens, while others are inspired from lands across the sea such as the Himeji Gardens.
Located within the Osmond Gardens on South Terrace, the Himeji Garden was established in 1985 in celebration of Adelaide's sister city partnership with Himeji, Japan.
The Himeji Gardens blend two classic styles: the ‘senzui’ style that displays the beauty of lakes and mountains, and the ‘kare senzui’ style that uses rocks to evoke the presence of water and oceans.
